Iliff Leadership Conference 2007
Religion and Globalization: A More Excellent Way
Greetings and welcome to the 2007 Iliff Leadership Conference and the Rocky Mountain Ministers’ School!
As we make our way into the 21st century, we face a world that at times seems both familiar and strange. We seem to teeter between two opposing tendencies—sometimes we appear to be pulling together, and at other times we’re painfully being pulled apart. A central claim of the great Story that embraces us in our many faith traditions is this: we are somehow one family, despite our at-times violent differences. We are all called to live into a hope giving faith, one that enables us to be renewed as we discern the way of reconnection. We hope you will join us as we explore a more excellent path — one characterized by vibrant community, mutual appreciation of otherness, sustained commitment to relationship, and hope. Hope you will join us!

In December, 1994 she returned to the University of Arkansas Medical Center as professor of pediatrics. In Jocelyn Elders, M.D.: From Sharecropper's Daughter to Surgeon General of the United States, Elders discusses a variety of health-related issues, such as health-care reform, HIV/AIDS treatment, and women's health.
