Antony Alumkal’s teaching and research interests include the influence of race, ethnicity and immigration on religion in the United States, cultural and institutional aspects of American mainline and evangelical Protestantism, and the dynamics of congregations.
Dr. Alumkal is a member of the Association for the Sociology of Religion and serves on the editorial board for its journal Sociology of Religion. He is a layperson in the United Church of Christ.
