Edward Phillip Antonio teaches theology, social theory and African Studies. He has published a number of scholarly articles in these areas and is currently working on two book projects. Before coming to Iliff he taught at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa where he also served as the treasurer of the South African Academy of Religion and as a Consultant for the World Council of Churches Project on Ecumenical Hermeneutics.

Dr. Antonio was the 1997 Louise Iliff Visiting Professor.
