Urban Ministry Program

While the crisis of urban America has been chronicled and analyzed regularly in the media, only recently have a few analysts begun to view the cultural and religious values indigenous to the inner city as positive resources for the renewal of urban America. The solution to the crisis will have to draw from the spiritual and cultural resources of the people who live in our urban communities. Iliff's Urban Ministry Program is a response to the challenge of bringing the gospel - effectively and intelligently - to the city. The program prepares ministers, particularly men and women of color, to serve in urban churches and urban service agencies.
