Iliff on the Road: Think Tank for Equity, Professor Edward Antonio, Denver
Description: The Think Tank for Equity is a body of practitioners, scholars, policy makers, and community members engaged in critical inquiry aimed at transformative action; harnessing experience and knowledge to realize educational equity in Colorado.
The Think Tank for Equity is meeting for a one-day conference, College Access & Success for Students of Color in Colorado, at the University of Denver.
Edward Antonio, associate dean of diversity, director of the Justice & Peace Program, and founding member of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE) will be a part of a lunch-time panel discussion that includes Rebecca Fernandez Martinez, college success manager, Denver Scholarship Foundation, Janet Lopez, program officer, Rose Community Foundation, and Tarajean Yazzie-Mintz, program officer, American Indian College Fund.
During the 2011-2012 academic year, the chief diversity officers at thirteen institutions of higher education in Colorado began meeting with the purpose of collaborating to better meet the needs of the diverse faculty, staff, students, and local communities represented by their colleges and universities.
