Iliff on the Road: Religious Freedom in the EU and US
Description: This past summer, the European Union Foreign Affairs Council released guidelines for promoting and protecting religious freedom. Some of these guidelines reflect internal concerns; others have to do with how member countries deal with non-member countries. In many respects, there are similarities with the United States’ constitutional guarantees, but, as the EU is different than the US, there are differences.
In partial observance of Constitution Day, we will explore those similarities and differences. Discussants will include Prof. Ted Vial of Iliff School of Theology and Prof. Kris Miccio of the Sturm College of Law and Prof. Beverly Weber from UC-Boulder.
Date: Tuesday, Sept. 17, 4:30 p.m.
Location: University of Denver, 1880 Conference Room, Driscoll Center North, CO 80210
