The Ripple Effects of Trauma: Finding Meaning, Prof. Carrie Doehring
Description: Traumatic events like the Aurora theater shooting often raise existential questions about the meaning of violence and suffering. What helps us find meaning and hope, especially when we experience fear or anger? We’ll share ways of finding meaning that draw upon past experience and help us connect with a sense of goodness in the world.
Carrie Doehring, associate professor of pastoral care and counseling, is a licensed psychologist and spiritual caregiver who teaches psychology and religion at the Iliff School of Theology and the University of Denver.
