Presidential Debate at the University of Denver

Description: The University of Denver is hosting the first of the three 2012 presidential debates on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in Magness Arena inside the Daniel L. Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness.
The University is planning a number of educational programs and events that will be held throughout the year leading up to the debate. Hosting the presidential debate will provide opportunities for students and the community to learn about and engage in the political process.
DU’s event will be the first of four debates in the 2012 election. Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., Centre College in Danville, Ky., and Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., also have been selected to host debates.

University of Denver DebateFest
October 3, 2012 3:00pm-9:00pm
Description: Iliff will host a booth at DebateFest at the University of Denver on the evening of the first 2012 presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. If you are registered and have a ticket to DebateFest, stop by the Iliff booth and visit with admissions staff. Plan to watch the debate on the big screens provided on the DebateFest area on campus grounds. This is a capacity-controlled event, so only those who have pre-registered and provide IDs at the gate will be admitted.
