Centus Samaritan Luncheon: Honoring Wills and Pat Long

Description: Iliff board of trustees member, Wills and Pat Long will be honored at the Annual Centus Samaritan Luncheon, May 2 at the PPG Events Center in Denver. The theme is, “If Not Now, When?” Glenna Norvelle, president and CEO of Denver Kids, is the Keynote speaker.

Iliff on the Road: ELCA Rocky Mountian Synod Assembly, Loveland, CO

Description: Iliff admissions will sponsor an information table at the ELCA Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly.

The 2013 theme is a continuation of our year-long theme: Deeply Rooted – Bearing Fruit. As faith communities rooted in the Good News, congregations in the Rocky Mountain Synod are bearing fruit here at home and throughout the world through the work and mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The assembly will take place at the beautiful Embassy Suites on I-25 in Loveland, Colorado.

Iliff on the Road: Gospel of Thomas - 114 Things that Jesus Might Have Said, Prof. Ann Graham Brock

Description: Ann Graham Brock, affiliate professor for New Testament studies, will lead this 4-part class to explore the Gospel of Thomas. If it is indeed a first-century text, as many scholars believe, why it did not make it into the New Testament? The class will compare and contrast this “gospel” with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
