Iliff on the Road: Juanita Gray Gala Celebration
Description: In partnership with Denver Public Library, Iliff is a co-sponsor of the 25th Anniversary Celebration Gala at Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library. The Gala is to launch the campaign for the Juanita Gray Endowment Fund. The guest list for this celebration will include local dignitaries, elected officials, supporters and community members. Guests will be invited to explore all three levels of the Blair-Caldwell building while enjoying refreshments and live entertainment by local musicians.
Awards Ceremony: Feb. 11, 2012 – (Originally scheduled for Feb. 4 but cancelled due to the weather.) The Juanita Gray Community Service Award is presented to African American men and women who exemplify the ideals and spirit represented by Mrs. Gray’s commitment to the community. Established in 1987, this award kicks off the Library’s celebration of Black History Month.
