Clinical Pastoral Education

Students in the Master of Arts in Pastoral and Spiritual Care (MAPSC) fulfill internship requirements through Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). CPE is also required for students in the Anglican Studies program in addition to internship. For other MDIV, CPE is an additional option that is recommended by many denominations.

Clinical Pastoral Education details:

  • Intensive group interaction with peers and leaders
  • Individual reflection and discernment regarding call, gifts, and limitations
  • Students work in a hospital or community setting
