Sites and Supervisors
Iliff has worked with several sites for years and proposals for new sites are welcomed including local churches, church related agencies, community service agencies, hospitals, etc. The selection of an appropriate setting for the field experience of a particular student is guided by his/her career focus, academic background and previous experience.
- In Basic Field Education students are placed in sites for five hours of voluntary service per week during the winter quarter (ten weeks, January – March) of the Colloquium year.
- In Advanced Field Education, students work fourteen hours per week for the academic year, September – May. Iliff recommends that students be paid for their Advanced Field Education work. Advanced Field Ed. stipend supplements are available for some students serving in small parishes. Sites provide supervision in both basic and advanced field education.
- Sites interested in working with Basic Field Education students should contact Cathie Kelsey, 303-765-3103 or email by October 1 for consideration as a site for the winter quarter.
- Those interested in contracting with an Advanced Field Education student should complete a Learning/Serving Covenant and send it to the Ministry Studies office by March 1 for fullest consideration for the following academic year.
