The Library subscribes to over 700 current periodicals, and houses a collection of bound periodicals dating from the eighteenth century through to the present. Current issues are shelved alphabetically by title in the periodicals area on the main floor, south room at the west end. Previous issues from the present year are located on the shelves behind the current issue. Bound volumes from previous years are shelved alphabetically by title in the periodicals area on the main floor, north room. The Library also has numerous titles in microformat filed in the microform room on the lower floor.
Most periodical titles are included in the online catalog (ISAIAH). However, a complete list of the library’s periodical holdings (current, retrospective, and microform titles) is found in a loose-leaf notebook labeled “List of Serial Holdings” by the photocopier on the main floor.
The article databases are good tools for finding articles on specific topics.
Many quality religious and academic journals are now readily available on the Internet. Online journal sites may include subscription information, tables of contents, abstracts, sample issues, and/or full text of articles. View a partial list of these titles.
