Archives & Special Collections

Archives

Taylor Library houses the archives of the Iliff School of Theology and the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Methodist Church, as well as some records from other religious organizations. The Archives also contains materials produced by or about the Iliff family, the faculty of the School, and other significant persons in the history of Rocky Mountain Methodism. Some of the materials in the Archives collection are cataloged and accessible through the library’s online catalog (ISAIAH).

Special Collections

In Special Collections, the Library keeps books that are considered rare and valuable. Some are early editions of theological works; some are limited editions; some possess unique or precious bindings. The collection also includes hymnals donated to the Library by John R. Van Pelt, doctoral dissertations and masters theses completed at Iliff, and faculty and alumni/ae publications. These materials are non-circulating, but are available for scholarly study in the Frank and Jennie Court Reading Room. Because of their fragility, most of the items in this collection may not be photocopied. Please contact us via email or at (303)765–3173 to arrange a time to view materials in this collection. Request forms are also available at the circulation desk.
