ILIFF ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP
(DENVER) – The Iliff School of Theology announces the departure of David Trickett, Iliff’s 13th president, effective May 16. Trickett has led Iliff since 2006.
Albert Hernandez, chief operating officer, dean of the faculty, senior vice president for academic affairs, and associate professor of the history of Christianity, will assume the duties of the presidency on an interim basis. Hernandez has been a member of the Iliff faculty since 2001. He became chief operating officer in January of this year.
“The Board of Trustees thanks President Trickett for his service,” said Dr. Frederick Grover, Board Chair. “We appreciate his contributions to the school and to theological education. We wish him success in his future endeavors.”
The Iliff School of Theology is a graduate theological school related to the United Methodist Church, serving more than 38 different faith traditions. Founded in 1892, the school provides several degree programs, including a Joint Ph.D. Program with the University of Denver.
