Iliff Honors Convocation Recognizes Outstanding Students

(DENVER) – The Iliff School of Theology’s Honors Convocation was held May 23 in Iliff Chapel. Rev. Jerry Herships, Iliff alum and pastor, AfterHours, a Denver faith and action community, delivered the address, “How to Make Your Cups Runneth Over (or at the very least how to not be miserable in ministry).”

Awards were presented to the following students:

Maryann Downs Scholarship – K. Melinda Baber
Fellowship Seminarian Award – Thelma Flowers
Ronald E. Sleeth Preaching Award – Mark Hill
Elizabeth Iliff Warren Fellowship – Christopher Walter Hunt
Elizabeth Iliff Warren Fellowship – Melissa Paige Pula

Outstanding Achievement in these areas:

The Rollin Everett Smith Award for outstanding service to Iliff by a staff member was presented to Marcia Meier, admissions representative.

The Iliff School of Theology is a graduate theological school related to the United Methodist Church, serving more than 38 different faith traditions. Founded in 1892, the school provides several degree programs, including a Joint Ph.D. Program with the University of Denver.
