New Book Honors Professor Emerita Jean Miller Schmidt

—Take the Fall Insiders’ Tour of the Renewal of Church Leadership —

DENVER—The Iliff School of Theology (Iliff) will host an event on Thursday, Oct. 25, that explores the renewal of church leadership and honors the legacy of Professor Emerita Jean Miller Schmidt during the Fall Insiders’ Tour.

Joined by a panel of female theologians who collaborated on the book “Women, Church and Leadership: News Paradigms” — which honors Miller Schmidt, Gerald L. Schlessman Professor Emerita of Methodist Studies, the event will help raise funds to support scholarships for women studying at Iliff.

When: Thursday, Oct. 25, 6 – 8 p.m.

What: Reception and book signing for “Women, Church, and Leadership: New Paradigms.” The book, “Women, Church, and Leadership” will be available for purchase at the event for $12.

The Iliff School of Theology is a graduate theological school related to the United Methodist Church, serving more than 38 different faith traditions. Founded in 1892, the school provides several degree programs, including a Joint Ph.D. Program with the University of Denver.
