A Literary Alumnae Salon: A Scholarly Confluence of Faith, History, the Land and Meaning Making in the 21st Century

Join Rev. Dr. Nancy Niero, Iliff alumna, and Dr. Loring Abeyta, University of Denver alumna, for a lively conversation about the nexus of their research in the history of the Sand Creek Massacre and The Iliff Book. Dr. Niero’s recent first publication, “Witness at Sand Creek, The Life and Letters of Silas Soule,” is a collection of 25 letters he wrote from 1860-1865. Dr. Abeyta’s current scholarship researches the Sand Creek Massacre and The Iliff Book’s impact on 21st Century Denver. The conversation between these scholars will be facilitated by Ruben Figueroa, Iliff User Experience Librarian.
