DESCRIPTION:The Colorado Black Round Table\, in conjunction with Metro Denver Area Community organizations\, will sponsor a Martin Luther King Jr. Gaining Ground In The Black Community Birthday Celebration \nRev. Dr. Lee Butler\, Jr.\, President of Iliff School of Theology\, will give the keynote address \nSaturday\, January 13\, 2024\n4:00pm-7:00pm\nNew Hope Baptist Church Family Life Center\n3701 Colorado. Blvd.\nDenver\, CO \nThe agenda for this MLK Jr. community celebration features a keynote presentation from the Rev. Dr. Lee Butler\, President of The Iliff School of Theology\, recognition of the Founders of the Colorado Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration\, Honorable Wellington Webb and Honorable Wilma Webb and a CBRT MLK Jr. Birthday Community Response Panel composed of a “Who’s Who” of Black Community Faith Leaders that have enthusiastically committed to attend and participate. Confirmed faith leaders participating to date are Overseer Thomas Mayes\, Rev. Paul Burleson\, Rev. Dr. Marjorie Lewis\, Rev. Dr. Ben Sanders\, Bishop Acen Phillips\, Imam Abdur Rahim Ali\, Sister Carroll Watkins Ali and Syl Morgan Smith. \n
