SUMMARY:Renewal // Mourning Across Traditions
DESCRIPTION:At one time or another\, we will all experience the grief of losing a loved one. But how we express that grief and how we mourn the loss of a member of our community can vary widely. While the pain of loss is universal\, the actions and traditions of celebrating life and grieving death are not. For our March Renewal session\, panelists from different faith traditions will discuss how their communities view the end of life\, what they do to hold the memory of those who have passed\, and how they support one another in times of grief. \nSeries Description: This year\, our Renewal sessions will focus on History and Memory. How can we remember well in a time when it seems history is repeating itself\, when we are fighting the same fights for justice over and over again? How can we learn from history and avoid making the same mistakes? How do we remember as a community\, and how do we prepare a legacy that is worth remembering?
