Fall Opening Convocation: A Celebration of the New Academic Year

Most of us will be virtual, including the faculty and staff residential students, particularly those meeting in class at 1:00 p.m. are invited to attend in Shattuck Hall.

We celebrate our purpose and vision
We hear from our President Rev. Dr. Tom Wolfe as he casts a vision for the new year and we talk in small groups about the questions he poses

Speaker: Dr. Mark Freeland (Sault St. Marie Anishinabek), author of Aazheyaadizi: Worldview, Language, and the Logics of Decolonization. Dr. Freeland, Assistant Professor of American Indian Studies/American Indian Studies Program Coordinator at the South Dakota State University, is the first Tinker Visiting Professor for both the 2020-2021 and the 2019-2020 academic years. He regularly Iliff courses during the summer and mentors students and offers public education programs during the fall and winter quarters.
