Gabriel (Gabe) Fischer joined the Iliff Admission Team in May of 2019. With a passion for people and their story, he is happy to listen to students’ experiences and help shape their future. Gabe also focuses on seeking opportunities to build bridges through partnership with local and national organizations, colleges, universities and individuals.
As an experienced higher education professional, he has worked with a diverse population of students, families and communities to help them realize their potential for success through education.
Outside of higher education, Gabe volunteers his time as a community advocate and activist for the LGBTQIA community. He spent several years with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) as an outreach and volunteer organizer, committee co-chair for the HRC Mile High Gala fundraiser and co-chair for the Colorado Steering Committee and served on the HRC National Board of Governors. Gabe recently joined the Board of Directors for a new non-profit organization called Joy as Resistance, which will focus on providing mental health services for LGBTQIA+ youth in the Aurora and surrounding areas.
