Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know where to start?

What topics should we cover in a DEI training? What’s the best way to reach my employees? How do we fit this topic within our unique company culture? What outcomes can we expect? These questions are important! We offer personalized intake consultations to understand you and your business, not one-size-fits-all, out of the box solutions.

What sort of things can you expect from a DEI consultant?

We work with your organization to address identified issues related to your staff and clientele. Our consultants are able to engage on multiple goals, including climate surveys, needs assessments, and strategies for hiring, training and retaining a diverse workforce.

There are a lot of DEI offerings out there. What makes yours unique?

One of our board members told us “our company just went through the most terrible DEI training. The learning we do at Iliff is so much better – could you bring it to us instead?” We did, and realized that what we offer not only meets an important need that aligns with our mission, but it really stands out. Here’s what we’ve heard from clients and customers that makes us different: a focus on having difficult conversations without shame or blame. A holistic, mindful approach that recognizes the lived and embodied reality of all of our participants. An engaging experience with actionable takeaways and opportunities for further growth.

How long have you been doing this work?

We’re not new to this – Iliff brings years of research experience to the table, as well as a long history of creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences. Our history as scholar activists means we understand both the theory and the practice of making changes in the world with real people, backed by research so we know it works.
