Rev. Megan Armstrong is currently serving as the Minister of Discipleship at the Arvada United Methodist Church, in Arvada, CO. She has a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Nebraska and she has a Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry with a Focus in Religious Leadership from Iliff School of Theology. Graduating from Iliff in 2007 she is excited to have maintained her relationships with the Iliff community and continues to use the school as a grounding point for her ministry and career. She has worked in the United Methodist Church since 1999 working in local churches in both Nebraska and Colorado. Megan was ordained as a Deacon in 2015. She is very involved in the connectional ministries of the church she is currently serving in a variety of roles including as a part of the District Committee on Ministry, a part of the delegation for General and Jurisdictional work in the UMC, a board member for the Center for Health and Hope, and as a mentor to a variety of individuals discerning their call and vocation. She deeply enjoys getting to know laity and clergy around the world and utilizing those relationships to further the spread of God’s love across our globe. Megan is married to Rev. Elizabeth Jackson who serves as an Elder in United Methodist Church. They have two young kids who are elementary age. Megan and her family enjoy riding bikes, reading books, and traveling.
