Anita Sanborn
Anita Sanborn retired as President of the Colorado Episcopal Foundation in 2018. She is a certified trainer in the Diocesan Congregational Development Institute of the Episcopal Church. Her career was spent working in the not for profit sector where she worked on issues spanning community organizing, health planning, maternal and child health to long term care. Anita held senior management positions with the national Alzheimer’s Association after serving for more than a decade as the Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Alzheimer’s Association. She earned a Master’s in Public Administration from the Andrew Young School of Public Policy at Georgia State University. Anita is engaged as a director on several boards related to hospice care, affordable housing and the needs of refugees from South Sudan. Her passions include human rights, peace-building in South Sudan, and integral ecology as expressed in the encyclical by Pope Francis titled Laudato Si. As a past chair of the Board of Trustees at Iliff (2017-2019) she is now engaged in the development of the Eco Justice Center and in supporting legacy giving as a way for all to participate in the future of Iliff.
