Bio

For 27 years, Barbara served as CEO and General Secretary of Wespath, the general agency of the UMC providing pension benefits and investment services on behalf of the clergy, lay workers and UMC related entities. As CEO, Barbara oversaw the vision and strategic direction for Wespath, including the development of the Health & Wellness focus, the expansion of pensions to the Central Conferences of the UMC and the growth of assets from $5 billion to over $29 billion during her tenure. In addition, Barbara chaired the Church Alliance, an association of denominational pension fund CEO’s who worked actively to protect church pensions and benefits in Congress. She also chaired the Church Benefits Association which provided education and collaboration opportunities for denominational benefit plans. Barbara also serves a a director on the board of Old National Bank headquartered in Evansville, Indiana. Prior to Wespath, Barbara worked with Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson) opening their San Diego office and in the LA office. She also worked for Peat Marwick (KPMG) in their tax practice as a benefits consultant.

Barbara has a husband, Chris Warren and 3 adult children.
