Spring Gathering

Days 2022

Welcome to Spring Gathering Days:
April 25 – 29, 2022

Gathering Days are when Journey students travel to Denver to attend their courses. It is a special time for the Iliff community to be together for academics and fellowship for meals, classes, social events, guest speakers, prayer and worship. By gathering on the beautiful Iliff campus, there are distinctive opportunities for meaningful, engaging, and transforming conversations.

Dear Iliff Community:

I am pleased to announce that Iliff is hosting Gathering Days for Spring 2022. The CDC now lists Denver, Colorado as a low COVID transmission area. On Friday, bolstered by declining COVID-related hospitalizations and a 7-day positivity rate under 5%, Governor Polis announced “fully vaccinated Coloradans can rest assured that you are reasonably safe to live your normal pre-pandemic life.” Accordingly, Colorado has now moved to its next stage of its COVID response by providing support to help the public live with COVID-19. Against this new set of information from government and public health officials, we feel both comfortable and enthusiastic about moving ahead with Gathering Days in April.

Our decision is also influenced, in part, by your responses to the most recent student survey. Thank you. Your responses let us know people are at varying levels of desire to and comfort with coming to Denver for classes. While we are expecting all students registered for hybrid courses to attend Gathering Days, we have also provided a process for you to apply for and receive an exemption from Dean Lee if you have extenuating circumstances, as listed in the Masters’ Student Handbook. Please read Dean Lee’s letter for other information concerning preparations that have been made for your arrival to campus. Finally, in the next couple of days, please look for a letter from Goldie Ector, Financial Aid Director, about other resources that may be available to you.

We so look forward to seeing you in person on campus in April!

Until then, please continue to be well.

Tom
